Riding on success
Dr. M. Arokiaswamy, inspired by his extensive participation in global industrial exhibitions across regions like the Americas, Europe, and Asia, envisioned bringing a world-class trade fair to India. This vision led to the launch of Automation Expo in 2002 at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai, with 157 exhibitors. Initially a biennial event, it became an annual exhibition in 2011 to meet the industry's growing demands.
Today, Automation Expo is Asia's leading Automation and Instrumentation event. Organized by IED Communications Ltd., headquartered in Mumbai, it also publishes the renowned magazine Industrial Automation, serving readers across R&D labs, testing centers, engineering colleges, and industrial product distributors in India and abroad.
The expo has grown significantly over the years, becoming a premier platform for cutting-edge technologies and global business collaborations. In 2024, we proudly hosted the 17th edition with over 1,000+ exhibitors worldwide.
To expand our reach, we introduced Automation Expo South at the Chennai Trade Centre, focusing on the thriving industrial market in southern India. This new edition fosters innovation, connects industry leaders, and provides a platform for exploring the latest advancements in automation, robotics, and industrial solutions.
